I worked (1972) near striker Jake Cooper at his SuperValu store in Jonathan – now Chaska. He told me of going on to being a bodyguard for Trotsky in Mexico City. Barbara Kingsolver’s book “Lacuna” mentions the arrival of the new bodyguards “Jake and _____.” [From Frida Kahlo’s diaries?] Labor, the press, living conditions at that time are all too contemporary, alas. We evolve so slowly.
